Why this workflow matters
Terrain affects tracker suitability, grading, drainage, road design, pile reveal and usable-area continuity. A regional DEM can reveal patterns, but survey-grade topography is needed for design.

Market application

- A 30 m screening DEM identifies 6 ha above a user-selected 5° north-facing threshold within a 50 ha site.
- Screening response
- Carry 6 ha as a preliminary terrain mask and test 4°, 7° and technology-specific alternatives before fixing the usable area.
- Limitation
- The threshold is an assumption, not a universal non-usable rule; confirm it with survey-grade terrain and layout criteria.
